This role offers the opportunity to apply specialized nuclear medicine imaging skills in both outpatient cardiology and general nuclear medicine settings. The position requires flexibility to split time between locations in York, Maine, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with consistent weekday hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Immediate start dates are available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including cardiac stress tests and general imaging studies.
- Perform intravenous (IV) insertions with precision and care.
- Handle and store radioactive materials safely, adhering to all regulatory standards.
- Maintain American College of Radiography Nuclear Medicine accreditation and State of Maine radioactive materials licensing.
- Ensure detailed and accurate documentation of all procedures.
- Communicate effectively with cardiologists and radiologists to deliver high-quality patient exams.
- Provide exceptional patient care, fostering comfort and safety during all procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
- Current Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Commitment to maintaining professional accreditations and state licensure.
- Strong communication skills vital for collaboration with healthcare professionals and patient interaction.
