Job Description
A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a strong background in imaging and patient care for adolescent through geriatric populations. This role requires proficiency using advanced systems and equipment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing reliable coverageincluding call and weekendsin a fast-paced hospital environment.
Schedule:
- Days: Four 10-hour shifts (06:00 - 17:30)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call one week (7 days) per month (Weekdays: after shift until 23:00; Weekends: 07:00-23:00)
- Holiday coverage per assignment period
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine experience; first-time travelers are not eligible
- Current BLS certification
- Active ARRT-R and NMTCB required
- Strong clinical skills and ability to float within the facility as needed
- Experience with adolescent through geriatric patients
Preferred Technical Expertise:
- Xceleris processing system
- Fuji Synapse 5 PACS
- AtomLab960 Thyroid Probe/Well Counter
- Capintec CRC-55tR and CRC-15 Beta dose calibrators
- LudLum Model 14C and Bicron 2000 survey meters
- Experience with Epic, PACS, Philips Skylight, Siemens Symbia Evo
Responsibilities:
- Perform all facets of nuclear medicine imaging and related procedures safely and efficiently
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and provide accurate documentation
- Float to various units within scope of practice as required
- Maintain compliance with facility standards and complete orientation requirements prior to start
- Adhere to hospital, state, and federal guidelines for radiation safety and patient care
Dark grey scrubs are required. Compliance with background, health, and documentation requirements must be completed to ensure timely start; orientation follows a bi-weekly schedule.
