A Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity is available on a contract basis in the Stockbridge, GA area, serving a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in nuclear medicine, with first-time technologists not eligible. Candidates must hold current BLS, ARRT-R, and NMTCB certifications.
The position involves work with advanced imaging technology, including proficiency in the Xceleris processing system, Fuji Synapse 5 PACS, AtomLab960 Thyroid Probe/Well Counter, and multiple Capintec dose calibrators, among others. Experience with Epic, Philips Skylight, and Siemens Symbia Evo is also essential. Day shifts follow a 4x10-hour schedule from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures accurately and safely.
- Utilize specialized equipment including dose calibrators and survey meters.
- Operate and manage imaging systems such as PACS and Epic.
- Support call coverage on a rotational basis, including weekdays and weekends.
- Comply with all clinical and facility requirements, adhering to holiday work expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum two years of nuclear medicine technologist experience.
- Certifications: BLS, ARRT-R, and NMTCB.
- Proficiency with Xceleris, Fuji Synapse 5, and other nuclear medicine systems.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including call and potential floating within the facility.
Schedule and Workload:
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week (06:00 17:30).
- On-call one week per month with specified hours.
- Floating as assigned within scope of practice.
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
- Mandatory holiday coverage as detailed.
