Job Description
Step into a vital role in a state-of-the-art imaging department, providing high-quality nuclear medicine services to adolescent through geriatric patients. This contract opportunity requires a skilled professional experienced in a range of advanced imaging and processing technologies.
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts weekly (06:00 17:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Some floating within the facility/scope of practice
- On-call one week per month: MondayFriday (end of shift to 2300), weekends (07002300)
- Expectation to work certain major holidays based on assignment dates
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in nuclear medicine; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT-R and NMTCB certifications
- Proficiency with Xceleris processing, Fuji Synapse 5 PACS, AtomLab960 Thyroid Probe/Well Counter, Capintec CRC-55tR and CRC-15 Beta dose calibrators, LudLum Model 14C and Bicron 2000 survey meters
- Familiarity with Philips Skylight, Siemens Symbia Evo, and Epic documentation systems
- Required to wear dark grey scrubs
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols
- Accurately calculate and administer radiopharmaceutical dosages
- Monitor patient safety, comfort, and care throughout testing
- Produce and interpret images using advanced PACS and related system software
- Document findings and procedures in EPIC EHR
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and a sterile field as necessary
- Adapt to diverse patient populations and multi-facility workflow
