- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT, ARRT[N], or equivalent)
- Active registration and compliance with relevant state and national standards
- Proven experience operating nuclear medicine equipment and software
- Proficiency in patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by physicians
- Accurately preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals within regulatory guidelines
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
- Maintaining comprehensive records, logs, and documentation related to imaging studies
- Monitoring equipment to ensure proper functioning and coordinating maintenance as needed
- Engaging with patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns to provide a positive experience
- Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
