Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic imaging or treatment
- Operate specialized nuclear medicine equipment to generate detailed functional images of organs and tissues
- Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and informed consent
- Maintain the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, colleagues, and oneself
- Perform routine equipment checks and scheduled maintenance to guarantee optimal operation
- Accurately document patient data and procedural information
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other clinicians to support diagnosis and treatment plans
- Comply with all institutional, state, and federal safety and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
- Active certification and registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT-N) required
- Previous experience in nuclear medicine imaging preferred
- Commitment to patient care, safety, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
