Job Description

A career opportunity is available for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support advanced imaging within a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves performing a broad range of routine and specialized nuclear medicine imaging procedures while facilitating efficient patient flow and supporting other imaging professionals as needed.

Responsibilities include adhering to quality assurance protocols, maintaining safety standards in radiation handling, and participating in ongoing education related to technical advancements and patient safety. The technologist will also collaboratively work with physicians and management to foster an optimal work environment and exceptional service delivery. Flexibility to work different shifts and at multiple campuses is required, along with troubleshooting equipment issues and ensuring proper image processing and storage within the PACS.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in nuclear medicine preferred
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology certification (N) from ARRT or NMTCB required
  • Current state licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in Texas
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Current BLS certification (AHA approved)

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM with potential extension to 5 PM or later depending on census and caseload
  • Occasional weekend shifts as needed
  • Floating to other campuses based on staffing demands
