Job Description

Join a leading healthcare team in Omaha, NE, delivering vital nuclear medicine imaging services both onsite and via mobile platforms. This travel position offers an excellent opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that support patient diagnosis and treatment through advanced imaging techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures under supervision to ensure accurate imaging results.
  • Participate in departmental teaching and research activities.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to provide timely exams with minimal risk and cost.
  • Handle radioactive materials and operate nuclear medicine gamma cameras, including PET/CT attenuation correction (non-diagnostic).
  • Address the needs of patients across all age groups safely and compassionately.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine program.
  • Current certification by NMTCB and/or ARRT is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of radioactive materials, doses, flood sources, and radiation safety equipment.
  • Experience with computers interfaced with gamma cameras.
  • Ability and willingness to work both in department and mobile settings.
  • Preferred: Clinical experience, solid patient communication skills, familiarity with nuclear medicine gamma cameras from multiple manufacturers.
