Job Description

A healthcare facility in Nederland, TX is currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform advanced and routine nuclear imaging procedures. This full-time contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, predominantly from 7 AM to 3 PM, with potential extended hours based on patient census and case load. The role requires flexibility to float to other campuses as needed, supporting efficient patient flow and collaborative team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring quality and safety
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and participate in quality assurance activities
  • Maintain radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to facilitate optimal patient care and physician satisfaction
  • Manage image processing, archiving, and PACS system operations, serving as a PACS Superuser when necessary
  • Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professional behavior aligned with organizational values
  • Adapt patient care approaches to accommodate diverse physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental needs
  • Adhere to all regulatory and facility standards for imaging and patient safety

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
  • Minimum one year clinical experience in nuclear medicine preferred
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB required
  • Valid Texas MRT licensure from the Texas Medical Board
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Basic computer proficiency
