Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist skilled in advanced imaging at a healthcare facility servicing patients from adolescents through geriatrics. This role requires proficiency in a variety of nuclear medicine equipment and systems to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging services.

Schedule:

  • Day shift, four 10-hour shifts per week (06:00 17:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating call: One week per month (weekdays from shift end to 2300; weekends 0700-2300)
  • Floating within the facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Holidays: Must be available to work major holidays as assigned per contract duration
  • MAX 7 days RTO (requested time off)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in nuclear medicine; candidates without prior experience are not eligible
  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT-R or NMTCB credentials required
  • Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Full compliance with onboarding prior to start date (biweekly orientation structure)

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced proficiency with imaging systems including:
    • Xceleris processing
    • Fuji Synapse 5 PACS
    • AtomLab960 Thyroid Probe/Well Counter
    • Capintec CRC-55tR and CRC-15 Beta dose calibrators
    • LudLum Model 14C and Bicron 2000 survey meters
    • Experience with Epic, PACS, Philips Skylight, and Siemens Symbia Evo systems
  • Comfortable wearing dark grey scrubs as outlined by department guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety and imaging accuracy
  • Accurately document and process imaging data using designated hospital systems
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients across the lifespan
  • Adapt to floating assignments within scope as needed
