Located in scenic Kennebunk, Maine, this travel opportunity seeks an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician to support both Cardiology outpatient services in nearby Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and general nuclear medicine testing at the main medical campus. This role offers a unique blend of responsibilities across two dynamic sites, providing exposure to a range of nuclear medicine procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of general nuclear medicine studies alongside specialized cardiac nuclear stress tests.
- Administer IV insertions safely and efficiently.
- Handle and store radioactive materials according to all safety guidelines.
- Maintain American College of Radiography Nuclear Medicine accreditation.
- Ensure compliance with the State of Maine Radioactive Materials license requirements.
- Document procedures meticulously and communicate effectively with Cardiologists and Radiologists to guarantee high-quality exams.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and ensure positive experiences during all procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in nuclear medicine preferred.
- Current CNMT licensure.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
