Job Description

Seeking an experienced professional with a background in Imaging Nuclear Medicine for a contract opportunity. This role plays a pivotal part in providing precise imaging services and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Current certification from ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) and/or NMTCB required
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Prior experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting
  • Strong understanding of imaging protocols, safety standards, and quality control
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, under physician direction
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring consistent quality and performance
  • Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging results in accordance with facility standards
  • Monitor patients' conditions and respond to any reactions or emergencies as appropriate
  • Practice stringent radiation safety protocols to protect patients, colleagues, and oneself
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of necessary supplies and ensuring equipment is clean and ready for use
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and continuing education as required
