Qualifications:
- Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT or ARRT-NM)
- Valid licensure for nuclear medicine technologist in state of practice
- Proven experience operating imaging equipment for nuclear medicine procedures
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
Schedule:
- Contract position specific schedule details to be discussed during interview
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as directed, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging studies and procedures according to physician orders
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures, doses, and pertinent observations
- Monitor and ensure proper functioning of imaging equipment, troubleshooting as necessary
- Deliver compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support optimal workflow and patient outcomes
- Adhere to all infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory guidelines
