Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ARRT or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Active, valid state license (as applicable)
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing/administering radiopharmaceuticals
  • Thorough understanding of radiation safety practices
  • Excellent communication skills to explain procedures and reassure patients
  • Ability to document procedures accurately and maintain precise equipment records
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with physicians

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
  • Operate and calibrate specialized imaging equipment
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Follow strict radiation safety guidelines for patients and staff
  • Accurately document imaging processes and patient interactions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as necessary
  • Provide crucial data to support physician diagnoses and ongoing research
