Job Description
A Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity is available in Boyce, LA, offering a full-time schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This role involves performing a wide range of routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures, supporting imaging teams, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the department. Flexibility is required to assist with shifts or assignments at other locations as needed. The technologist will also contribute to quality assurance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nuclear medicine exams and procedures in accordance with established competencies and safety guidelines
- Support physicians and radiologists to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adapt care techniques to meet unique patient needs
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and work closely with biomedical personnel for maintenance
- Manage image processing and archiving, including PACS operations and downtime procedures
- Participate in continuing education and uphold professional standards and organizational values
- Collaborate with management and clinical staff to promote a positive, efficient work environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
- Nuclear Medicine Technology certification by ARRT or NMTCB is required
- State licensure valid for Louisiana (LRT Nuclear or Full by LSRTBE) is mandatory
- BLS certification is required
- At least 1 year clinical experience in nuclear medicine preferred
- Basic computer skills and PACS familiarity necessary
