Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification (or eligibility)
- Current BLS certification
- Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient positioning, and imaging protocols
- Experience operating and troubleshooting nuclear medicine equipment
- Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills for patient interactions
- Prior hospital imaging experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized nuclear medicine imaging procedures under physician direction
- Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of imaging data for physician review
- Monitor patients during procedures, providing clear instructions and ensuring comfort
- Maintain proper documentation in medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other radiology and healthcare staff to coordinate efficient patient care
- Regularly inspect and maintain imaging equipment, reporting issues as needed
