Schedule/Hours:
- 2 x 12-hour shifts
- 2 x 8-hour shifts
- Includes weekend and call rotation
- Flexibility to support departmental needs
Expand your clinical experience in a dynamic environment, working alongside skilled practitioners and contributing to patient-centered care. This position offers the chance to serve on committees, collaborate across disciplines, and gain valuable insights into differing workflow styles and leadership perspectives.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures under a licensed practitioners order for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare and instruct patients to ensure comfort, cooperation, and optimal imaging results
- Apply principles of MR safety for all involved
- Operate MRI systems and complementary equipment skillfully
- Optimize imaging parameters per established protocols
- Perform venipuncture and administer contrast agents safely
- Use radiology information systems, ensuring records and images are complete and available for interpretation
- Support interventional procedures as needed
- Uphold aseptic technique and patient safety at all times
- Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification
- Provide instruction to partners and students, fostering a collaborative learning environment
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required)
- ARRT Radiography and ARRT MRI registration
- Approved BLS certification
- Prior MRI technologist experience
