Job Description

A leading hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional passionate about advanced diagnostic imaging to work with a supportive clinical team in a dynamic hospital environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI imaging experience
  • Current ARRT (MR) certification required
  • Valid New York State licensure as an MRI Technologist
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MRI equipment and safety protocols
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and imaging software

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists for interpretation
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation according to hospital policy
  • Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards in all imaging procedures
  • Monitor equipment functionality and assist with troubleshooting or coordinating repairs as needed
  • Provide compassionate care, addressing patient questions and concerns throughout the imaging process
