Job Description

A skilled MRI Technologist is needed for a contract opportunity in Pittsford, NY, specializing in magnetic resonance imaging. This role requires technical proficiency, patient interaction skills, and collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment efficiently, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
  • Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety.
  • Assist with IV insertion when necessary for contrast administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols within the imaging suite.
  • Coordinate with physicians to promptly deliver imaging findings.
  • Accurately document procedures while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Provide patient care tasks as needed during imaging processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiologic technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of MRI technologist experience.
  • Experience operating GE MRI scanners is required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Familiarity with Level 1 Trauma Center protocols an advantage.
  • Willingness to obtain NYS Radiologic Technologist license after hire.
