Job Description
Perform advanced imaging procedures using MRI technology in a Level 1 trauma center setting, providing essential diagnostic support for a wide variety of patients ranging from routine to critical. Position patients, operate GE Signa Artist (1.5T) and GE Signa Architect (3T) MRI machines, and utilize EMR and imaging systems such as EPIC Charting and McKesson PACS for precise documentation and image management. Execute proper imaging protocols and techniques across Neuro, Body, and Musculoskeletal exams, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate patient care during MRI procedures, including those under sedation or anesthesia
- Navigate EMR and PACS systems to accurately document patient information and scan results
- Position patients correctly to achieve high-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards for MRI imaging, including scanning patients with implants like pacemakers and aneurysm clips
- Work predominantly first shift (7 AM7:30 PM) or third shift (7 PM7:30 AM) with no weekend or on-call requirements
- Maintain assignments within the medical centers MRI department, which houses 5 MRI magnets in a 650+ bed hospital
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with MRI protocols covering neuro, body, and musculoskeletal imaging preferred
