A hospital-based MRI Technologist position is available for a contract assignment in Overland Park, KS, offering the opportunity to work weekends on a 12-hour night schedule. This role requires a strong background in MRI imaging with specific expertise using Phillips Achieva equipment and proven hospital experience scanning patients with implanted devices.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Experience scanning with Phillips Achieva Siemens 1.5T Sola machines preferred
- Prior travel MRI technologist experience of at least 1 year
- ARMRIT certification or ARRT (MR) and current BLS certification
- Comfortable floating between different MRI units within the hospital system
- Able to work 12-hour night shifts, primarily Friday through Sunday, with some schedule flexibility
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform MRI scans efficiently and accurately adhering to hospital protocols
- Operate advanced MRI imaging equipment, including Philips and Siemens systems
- Ensure patient safety, especially when scanning those with implanted devices
- Collaborate closely with the radiology team to provide high-quality diagnostic images
- Participate in a 2-day orientation to familiarize with hospital procedures and systems
