Job Description

This opportunity involves working as an MRI Technologist with a focus on mobile and main MRI imaging at a reputable teaching hospital known for Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation. The position requires working Friday through Sunday with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including holidays when on scheduled shift hours. The schedule includes operating mobile MRI services on Fridays until 5 p.m., then supporting the main MRI department after 5 p.m., followed by main MRI tech duties on weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, primarily using Siemens equipment.
  • Provide mobile MRI services on Fridays and main MRI services on weekends.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Operate within established protocols and document procedures accurately using Epic charting.
  • Adhere to hospital scrub and parking guidelines accordingly.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI imaging experience; first-time technologists are considered.
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state licensure not mandatory.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with Siemens MRI systems preferred.
  • Experience working in Level 1 Trauma hospitals is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work within a 60-mile radius of North Charleston, SC.
  • Ability to work the required Friday through Sunday 12-hour shifts.
