Job Description
A skilled MRI Technologist is needed to operate advanced imaging equipment and deliver exceptional patient care within a Level 1 trauma center environment. This role involves producing high-quality MRI images for accurate radiologist interpretation while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each procedure.
Responsibilities:
- Operate GE Signa Artist (1.5T) and GE Signa Architect (3T) MRI machines to perform a wide range of neuro, body, and musculoskeletal imaging protocols
- Manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR) using EPIC and image storage via McKesson PACS system
- Position patients and provide clear procedure information to support optimal imaging outcomes
- Apply comprehensive knowledge in safely scanning patients with implants such as pacemakers, stimulators, and aneurysm clipsincluding sedation and anesthesia cases
- Comply fully with regulatory requirements and organizational safety standards for patient care and imaging
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient populations at a major medical center
- Work assigned shifts without call or weekend requirements; shifts currently available include first shift (7:00 AM 7:30 PM) and third shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Maintain assignments within the medical center's designated imaging units without floating to other departments
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience in a clinical setting
- Certification by ARRT or ARMRIT is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Familiarity with advanced MRI scanning protocols and safety considerations for complex cases
