Job Description

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience performing MRI imaging in a healthcare setting
  • Current ARRT (MR) certification
  • Active New York State licensure
  • Strong understanding of MRI equipment safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and clinical staff
  • Demonstrated proficiency in producing diagnostic-quality imaging

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI scans according to physician orders and department protocols
  • Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient data
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely, accurate diagnostics
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Monitor MRI equipment, report any malfunctions, and ensure a clean, organized work environment
  • Prioritize patient care and privacy, providing support and reassurance during exams
