Schedule/Hours:
- 2 x 12-hour shifts
- 2 x 8-hour shifts
- Includes weekend and call rotation
- Flexibility to support departmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Prepare and instruct patients, minimizing anxiety and ensuring safety throughout
- Select, operate, and maintain MRI systems, coils, and associated equipment
- Position and immobilize patients appropriately, selecting sequences based on established protocols
- Perform venipuncture and administer contrast media safely
- Participate in interventional procedures, following aseptic technique and universal precautions
- Evaluate images for technical quality, manipulate digital data, and archive results within radiology systems (including PACS)
- Provide mentorship and practical instruction to colleagues and students
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program (verification required)
- Experience as an MRI Technologist
- ARRT Radiography registration & ARRT MRI registration (required)
- Active BLS certification
