Required skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in MRI imaging procedures and protocols
- Valid ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent credentials
- Current state licensure in Radiologic Technology (as applicable)
- Comprehensive understanding of MRI equipment, safety standards, and patient positioning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions
- Ability to assess, plan, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification (current and valid)
Schedule:
- Contract position
- Flexible hours may be available, including potential for variable shifts
Key responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
- Prepare patients for MRI scans, thoroughly explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure comfort and safety
- Monitor patient status throughout imaging, practicing strict adherence to safety protocols and MRI screening processes
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure images meet diagnostic standards
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and document imaging details
- Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks to comply with regulatory requirements
- Assist in training or orienting new MRI technologists as needed
