Required skills and qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in MRI imaging procedures and protocols
• Valid ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent credentials
• Current state licensure in Radiologic Technology (as applicable)
• Comprehensive understanding of MRI equipment, safety standards, and patient positioning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions
• Ability to assess, plan, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• BLS certification (current and valid)

Schedule:

• Contract position
• Flexible hours may be available, including potential for variable shifts

Key responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
• Prepare patients for MRI scans, thoroughly explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure comfort and safety
• Monitor patient status throughout imaging, practicing strict adherence to safety protocols and MRI screening processes
• Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure images meet diagnostic standards
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and document imaging details
• Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks to comply with regulatory requirements
• Assist in training or orienting new MRI technologists as needed
