Qualifications:

  • Current certification or registry in MRI technology (ARRT-MR or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience operating MRI scanners and related equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of MRI safety standards, protocols, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate compassionately with patients.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and PACS systems is a plus.
  • Current BLS certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans per physician orders, ensuring image quality and patient safety.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and providing reassurance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures promptly.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other clinical staff to review images and address clinical questions.
  • Uphold strict adherence to safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve minor technical issues; coordinate with service engineers as needed.
