Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced MRI technologist to support hospital imaging needs during weekend night shifts. This contract position requires strong skills in MRI scanning, particularly on Phillips Achieva equipment, and the ability to flexibly cover two nearby hospital locations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • 1-2 years hospital MRI technologist experience, with a minimum of 1 year travel MRI experience
  • Proficiency scanning patients with implanted devices
  • Skilled in operating Phillips Achieva Siemens 1.5 T Sola MRI machines
  • Familiarity with hospital imaging software including Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inteview PACS
  • ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification plus current BLS certification
  • Nicotine-free status required

Location: This role is based in Kansas City, KS, with floating responsibilities between two hospital sites nearby. Kansas City offers a vibrant metropolitan environment with rich cultural attractions, diverse dining options, and a strong healthcare community.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans with a focus on quality and patient safety
  • Float between specified hospital locations as needed
  • Work 12-hour weekend night shifts (Fri-Sun, 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.), with scheduling flexibility discussed directly with management
  • Attend a two-day orientation during the first week to integrate smoothly into hospital protocols
  • Participate in weekend rotation scheduling; on-call coverage is optional but available
