Job Description
An experienced MRI Technologist opportunity is available for a 13-week contract assignment in Grapevine, TX, with a focus on providing high-quality imaging services in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires expertise in MRI procedures, ensuring accurate diagnostic support for trauma, stroke, and anesthesia patients while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI exams following established protocols and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding procedures, using clear instructions to ease patient concerns.
- Prepare and position patients, setting equipment controls appropriately for each exam.
- Adhere to infection-control, radiation safety, and facility policies.
- Maintain imaging equipment and collaborate with technical personnel to optimize functionality.
- Document patient information and imaging data accurately and timely in the medical records system.
- Assist with inventory management and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in emergency response and first aid as needed.
- Serve as a preceptor to support training of new staff when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MRT and ARRT (MR) certification required.
- BLS certification (AHA Only) mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year acute care hospital MRI experience.
- Proficient in trauma, stroke, and anesthesia imaging modalities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism under stress.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to take call if required.
Work Schedule:
- 4-day workweek of 10-hour shifts.
- Monday and Wednesday: 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Thursday and Friday: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- PM shift assignment.
