Job Description
Advance your career as an MRI Technologist by delivering top-quality imaging services in a fast-paced clinical setting. This contract role requires an experienced professional to perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on both inpatient and outpatient populations, with responsibilities carried out under the supervision of a radiologist. The assignment spans 13 weeks with opportunities for travel.
Schedule:
- 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (1300-2100)
- Monday through Friday
- PM shifts
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in MRI
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- MRT and ARRT-MR credentials
- Experience with Siemens MRI systems and Epic electronic medical records preferred
- Comfortable in a clinic serving diverse populations
- Knowledge of proper safety screening, sterile technique, and infection control procedures
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to established protocols
- Provide clear explanation and compassionate care to patients and families during exams, ensuring comfort and safety throughout
- Prepare patients and exam rooms by following specific positioning and equipment guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; report issues promptly
- Maintain accurate medical imaging records and gather all necessary patient documentation
- Uphold patient and team safety initiatives, including pre-screening and infection prevention protocols
- Serve as a positive resource for team members, including precepting and training new staff
