Schedule:
- Two 12-hour shifts
- Two 8-hour shifts
- Includes weekend and call rotation; flexible hours may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures and related techniques for diagnostic imaging under physician orders
- Educate and prepare patients to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal imaging outcomes
- Select and operate magnetic resonance equipment, surface coils, and physiologic devices as needed
- Assess and position patients, utilizing appropriate immobilization and pulse sequences per protocol
- Administer contrast media and venipuncture as necessary, maintaining sterility and safety
- Evaluate image quality, manipulate digital data for optimal display, and ensure accurate patient identification
- Use radiology systems (including PACS), complete mandatory records/reports, and assist with interventional procedures
- Provide hands-on training and support to colleagues and students
- Initiate life support when required and uphold all universal precautions for patient and staff safety
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited radiography program (education verification required)
- Previous experience as an MRI Technologist
- Required certifications: ARRT Radiography, ARRT MRI, and current BLS certification
