This opportunity offers a contract position for an MRI technologist within a cutting-edge imaging department located in Brookfield, WI. The facility boasts a highly advanced MRI environment featuring six scanners (currently operating five) from GE and Siemens, supporting a broad range of specialized procedures including cardiac, functional, neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and other specialty exams. The role is ideal for technologists with 3-5 years of MRI experience who seek to work in a collaborative and fast-paced setting alongside experienced professionals.
Location Overview: Situated near Milwaukee, this facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU, Magnet Recognition, and designation as a Primary Stroke Center. The hospital has 933 beds and a robust imaging department managing a weekly patient census of 250-300, including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans on a variety of patient types, including those with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases
- Operate and maintain GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magentom Skyra scanners
- Utilize EPIC for charting and McKesson PACS for image management
- Collaborate with lead technologists, imaging assistants, and other staff; traveler will not work independently
- Participate in weekend rotations (up to every third weekend) and on-call shifts as required
- Adhere to facility policies, including professional dress code and COVID-19 vaccination mandates
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years MRI experience with both GE and Siemens scanners
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT credential required
- Experience with a diverse patient population as described
- Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson PACS systems
- Ability to respond within 30 minutes when on call
Schedule/Hours:
- Weekend rotations approximately every third weekend
- On-call availability Saturday and Sunday nights (2100-0630) and backup on-call daytime (0630-2100)
