Key Skills & Experience:
- Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MR preferred)
- State licensure as required for MRI Technologists
- Prior hands-on experience working in a clinical MRI setting
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of imaging studies, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and abdominal MRI scans
- Knowledge of MRI safety standards for patients and staff
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with radiologists, healthcare providers, and patients
- Ability to adapt to varying workflow and patient needs
Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners and auxiliary equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records and document imaging procedures in line with regulatory and facility standards
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure precise image capturing and support timely diagnosis
- Monitor equipment operations and promptly report maintenance needs or malfunctions
- Follow all hospital and departmental policies, including infection control and data security practices
- Educate patients on the MRI process, addressing questions and alleviating concerns as needed
