Job Description

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Valid certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MRI preferred)
  • Completion of an accredited MRI program or relevant imaging education
  • Proven experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient screening procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images as prescribed by physicians
  • Calibrate and maintain imaging machinery according to quality standards
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explain processes, and address concerns for a comfortable experience
  • Screen patients for safety and contraindications related to MRI procedures
  • Collaborate efficiently with radiologists and complementary healthcare staff
  • Record and process images for accurate medical review
  • Adhere to strict protocols for patient identification, safety, and image accuracy
  • Maintain documentation and records for all performed imaging procedures
