Job Description
A skilled professional with expertise in Imaging MRI is needed for a contract opportunity within an established healthcare environment. This role offers the chance to provide high-quality patient care and support a collaborative medical team while performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
- Current ARRT (MRI) certification required
- State licensure in radiologic technology as applicable
- Demonstrated experience operating MRI equipment in a hospital or clinical setting
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols related to MRI imaging
- Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and clinical protocols
- Position patients for comfort and optimal imaging outcomes
- Explain procedures, answer questions, and provide reassurance to patients throughout the imaging process
- Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory standards
- Accurately document patient information, procedures, and imaging results within the electronic health record system
- Maintain equipment and report issues or needed repairs in a timely manner
- Support a collaborative, patient-centered care environment by cooperating with radiologists, nursing staff, and other team members
