Job Description
A healthcare facility in the Grapevine, TX area is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week contract with potential for permanent placement. This role involves performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries following established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI exams on ambulatory and hospital patients efficiently and accurately
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by using effective communication and proper positioning techniques
- Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and sterile procedures throughout imaging practices
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, coordinating with engineers as needed
- Obtain and verify relevant patient documentation, including history and consents
- Keep accurate medical imaging records in compliance with departmental standards
- Provide training and mentorship to new staff when applicable
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, including administering first aid
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified MRI Technologist (MRT, ARRT MR) with current BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with trauma, stroke, and anesthesia imaging modalities
- Ability to perform independently, handle multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism under stress
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures and ease patient concerns
Location:

Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (Mon & Wed 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM; Thu & Fri 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM)
- PM shift availability required
