Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Mammography Technologist to join a reputable imaging facility in the Sacramento, California area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing high-quality mammographic procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality. This is a full-time, weekday position with no weekends required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols
Ensure high-quality imaging while minimizing patient discomfort
Verify patient history and maintain accurate documentation
Operate and maintain mammography equipment
Follow radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members for optimal patient care
Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients throughout procedures
Requirements:
ARRT (R) certification required
ARRT (M) certification (Mammography) required
Active California Radiologic Technologist license (CRT)
BLS certification (AHA preferred)
Minimum 12 years of recent mammography experience
Experience with digital mammography and/or 3D tomosynthesis preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior travel experience
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows
