Job Description
A dynamic opportunity awaits for experienced professionals skilled in imaging, specifically in mammography. This contract role offers a vital position in a modern clinical environment, providing high-quality imaging services and patient care. Professionals will have the chance to work alongside a collaborative team in the Mammography Department and interact across multiple departments on the main campus to ensure top-tier diagnostic practices.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday with Saturday rotation required
- Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts (between 7:30 a.m. 6:00 p.m.; hours may vary depending on department needs)
- No on-call commitment
Essential Qualifications:
- Current California Mammo Tech license and CRT (M) credential (required)
- ARRT certification (highly preferred)
- Valid BLS certification (required)
- At least two years of experience in mammography (required)
- Openness to floating to various departments based on staffing or placement needs
- Willingness to work both 2D and 3D screenings and diagnostics, including wire localization, radar localizations, and stereotactic breast biopsies
- Open to first-time travelers seeking contract experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using 2D and 3D technology
- Conduct advanced procedures, including wire and radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
- Float across departments within the main campus as needed to support patient care and workflow
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, supporting anxiety reduction and ensuring a positive diagnostic experience
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and adhere to all regulatory protocols and safety standards
As part of a collaborative imaging department, you will help facilitate a daily caseload of approximately 150 patients, ensuring efficient and thorough service throughout your shifts.
