Job Description

A dynamic opportunity awaits a certified Mammography Technologist to contribute expertise in screening and diagnostic mammography within a busy medical center environment. This contract position is ideal for professionals holding a Mammography Technologist CA license and CRT (M), looking to apply their skills in a multidisciplinary imaging setting.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Mammography Technologist CA license and CRT (M) certification (Required)
  • ARRT certification (Highly preferred)
  • BLS certification (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience
  • Ability to assist with screening and diagnostic mammography, including 2D and 3D imaging
  • Experience with wire and radar localizations, stereotactic biopsy procedures
  • Flexibility to float between departments on the main campus
  • Willingness to participate in Saturday rotations and on-call as needed

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using advanced imaging technology
  • Conduct wire and radar localizations and stereotactic biopsies as required
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Adapt to various imaging departments within the facility to meet patient and operational needs
  • Maintain adherence to safety standards, including BLS protocols

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday through Friday, with a Saturday rotation
  • Shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., hours may vary based on departmental requirements
  • Contract position based in the vibrant city of Long Beach, California
