Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract position
  • Participation in call rotation as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following established protocols
  • Ensure optimal positioning, clear image quality, and compliance with ALARA radiation safety standards
  • Review and verify physician orders, facilitating coordination with radiologists and other imaging departments
  • Retrieve and compare prior mammography images for interpretation
  • Provide patient education on breast health, self-examination, and procedure expectations
  • Serve as a key resource for technical quality control and equipment operation
  • Advocate for patients by managing care efficiently to minimize waiting and inconvenience
  • Participate in departmental committees, support outreach, and promote mammography services
  • Assist with Bone Density exams, as well as CT, General X-Ray, and Fluoroscopy/OR procedures, as needed

Qualifications:

  • ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist License
  • Active California Mammographic Technologist License
  • California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist License
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
  • California Venipuncture Certificate (required within three months of hire)
  • At least five years of experience performing mammography
  • Physical ability to stand/walk 4-6 hours per day, move equipment, and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Capacity to provide care for patients across all age groups
