Contribute your expertise in imaging by supporting patients and clinical teams in a dynamic breast imaging setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about accurate mammography and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality digital mammography exams following established protocols
- Explain procedures and address patient questions to ensure understanding and comfort
- Accurately document and maintain imaging records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and technologists for smooth workflow and optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance or troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control guidelines within the imaging suite
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of accredited radiologic technologist training with mammography focus or certification
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration in radiography and mammography
- State licensure, if required
- Recent hands-on experience operating mammography equipment in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with patients experiencing anxiety or discomfort
- Knowledge of breast imaging best practices, patient positioning, and diagnostic criteria
