Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality digital mammography exams following established protocols
  • Explain procedures and address patient questions to ensure understanding and comfort
  • Accurately document and maintain imaging records in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and technologists for smooth workflow and optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance or troubleshooting as needed
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control guidelines within the imaging suite

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of accredited radiologic technologist training with mammography focus or certification
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration in radiography and mammography
  • State licensure, if required
  • Recent hands-on experience operating mammography equipment in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with patients experiencing anxiety or discomfort
  • Knowledge of breast imaging best practices, patient positioning, and diagnostic criteria
