Key Qualifications:

  • ARRT (M) certification in Mammography required.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Active, unrestricted licensure for the state of Michigan, or eligibility for rapid licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Prior experience performing mammography in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Obtain high-quality mammographic images as ordered by providers.
  • Ensure patient comfort, explain procedures clearly, and address questions.
  • Adhere to all quality control, radiation safety, and infection prevention standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Document exams and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with department protocols.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
