Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Current certification in radiologic technology (ARRT) with a mammography credential
- Experience performing digital mammography exams in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of imaging safety protocols and quality standards
- Excellent communication skills when interacting with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to adapt quickly, multitask, and maintain accuracy under varying workloads
- Flexibility to support team workflows and collaborative care
Typical Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized mammography examinations, ensuring patient comfort and privacy throughout each procedure
- Operate digital mammography equipment, optimizing image quality and minimizing patient radiation exposure
- Review, prepare, and maintain patient records and documentation according to facility protocols
- Effectively communicate results, follow-up processes, and clinical instructions to patients as appropriate
- Assist radiologists by providing high-quality images and supporting diagnostic needs
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, cleaned, and ready for use, reporting issues immediately as needed
- Practice and uphold infection control and radiation safety standards at all times
