As an Imaging Interventional Radiology Tech traveler, you'll work within a dynamic teaching hospital, recognized for its commitment to quality care as both a Chest Pain and Stroke Center.
Your assignment will expose you to a diverse patient population and a wide array of advanced procedures, empowering you to broaden your clinical expertise. Collaborate closely with a dedicated team including providers, APPs, techs, and RNs, gaining valuable insights into multidisciplinary approaches and leadership styles. This is an unparalleled opportunity to expand your resume with complex venous and body embolization work, including cutting-edge interventions like Y90s and Sir spheres, all while exploring a welcoming new region.
Schedule/Hours
- 4 shifts of 10 hours (07:0017:30) OR 5 shifts of 8 hours (08:0016:30)
- On-call required: 34 days/month, with weekend call every 5th6th weekend (Friday eveningMonday 08:00)
- Flexible scheduling cycles every 46 weeks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology Tech experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- ARRT-R or RCIS required
- Strong skills in scrubbing, assisting, circulating, equipment operation, and supply management
- First-time travelers welcome
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with diverse IR procedures: dialysis lines, ports, TIPS, complex embolizations, biopsies, and more
- Operate Siemens and Sonosite imaging equipment; manage supplies for each procedure
- Collaborate with providers, APPs, and RNs to deliver top-tier patient care
- Participate in a structured orientation and departmental training
