Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- State licensure (if applicable to MA)
- Specialized training in Interventional Radiology required
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in IR Tech roles
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with a variety of interventional radiology procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Monitor patient status during procedures, providing quality care throughout
- Adhere to strict infection control and radiation safety standards
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records
