Qualifications & Experience:
- Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Valid ARRT certification in Radiography, with IR specialization preferred
- Current state licensure as required
- Prior experience in a hospital or imaging centers IR department
- Proficiency in operating interventional radiology equipment and following sterile techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure or fast-paced clinical situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of complex IR procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions under physician direction
- Prepare patients for IR studies, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
- Accurately operate and maintain imaging equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety protocols for patients and staff
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, responding promptly to any complications
- Document procedure details and maintain accurate records in accordance with facility policies
- Support physicians by assisting with procedural setup and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
