Qualifications:
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Minimum of two years radiology experience
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist licensing
- Interventional Radiology experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Select appropriate exposure factors, positioning, and consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Work collaboratively with all department members to quickly resolve issues
- Exhibit flexibility, compassion, respect, and professionalism in patient and team interactions
- Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams; assist Radiologists during procedures
- Administer oral contrast as requested per exam protocol
- Operate x-ray equipment, CR/DR systems, and report malfunctions promptly
- Support department efficiency through timely procedure completion and assisting with workflow tasks
- Maintain medication security and demonstrate age-appropriate competency in care delivery
- Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS with confidentiality and accuracy
- Participate in departmental improvement initiatives and maintain best practices
