Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Active NY state license for radiologic technologists
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum two years relevant experience in radiology, with interventional radiology experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring correct exposure, positioning, and protocol compliance
- Collaborate with staff to troubleshoot daily challenges and champion a respectful, positive workplace
- Maintain compassionate patient interactions, assist in procedures, administer oral contrast, and educate patients throughout exams
- Ensure medication security and adhere to all safety standards
- Perform documentation using HIS, RIS, and PACS, protecting confidentiality per hospital policy
- Take part in departmental quality initiatives and performance improvement projects
- Communicate expertly with hospital personnel and physicians, including fielding technical inquiries
