Located in Webster, NY, this contract opportunity in Interventional Radiology offers a dynamic role focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while supporting procedural interventions. The position emphasizes technical expertise, teamwork, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images.
• Prepare and instruct patients for examinations; assist Radiologists during interventional procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment competently and report any malfunctions to management.
• Complete assigned imaging procedures efficiently, utilizing downtime to support department workflow, including room turnover.
• Maintain medication security by ensuring access is limited to authorized personnel.
• Deliver healthcare services competently to patients across all age groups with sensitivity and respect.
• Utilize hospital information systems including Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Participate in hospital performance improvement initiatives and maintain strict confidentiality standards.
• Provide technical support and courteous communication via telephone with physicians and hospital staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current NYS Radiologic Technologist License or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in radiologic imaging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Interventional Radiology (VIR) certification preferred but not required.
