A healthcare facility in Waukesha, WI is seeking an experienced Imaging Interventional Radiology Technologist for a contract position supporting a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab. This role requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses hands-on expertise with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab experience
- Relevant certifications: BLS, ACLS; RN candidates with NIHSS preferred, RTR candidates require WI License and BLS, ACLS, RCIS preferred
- Proficient with Cath Lab procedures including diagnostic, interventional, STEMI/NSTEMI cases, and peripheral vascular cases
- Experience with conscious sedation and managing drips for RN positions; scrubbing and panning for RTR positions
- Ability to function effectively in a high-volume setting with patient ratios of 1:1
Responsibilities:
- Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and related procedures
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, including sedation management for RN roles
- Work alongside permanent staff and multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality care
- Utilize EPIC and other clinical equipment such as C-arms, hemodynamics monitors, and specialized devices
- Participate in weekend rotations and on-call scheduling approximately every 2-3 months with 30-minute response time
Schedule/Hours:
- 8 to 12-hour shifts available, including day and evening shifts
- Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Orientation provided to integrate you into the team smoothly

- The Cath Lab is a Level III Trauma Center and Magnet-designated medical facility providing advanced cardiac care
- Facility offers free parking and color-coded scrubs for easy team identification
- A fatigue policy limits hours to 60 hours per week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts, promoting staff well-being
