Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other technologists to ensure optimum patient care
- Prepare imaging equipment, maintain sterile field, and ensure all safety protocols are followed
- Evaluate images for quality and seek clarification on ambiguous orders
- Document patient history and procedure details electronically
- Offer support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain continuing education to stay current with best practices
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (R) certification; IR certification preferred
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for radiologic technology
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Proven ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a changing clinical setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- BLS certification required
