Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support advanced diagnostic and invasive imaging procedures in a well-established hospital setting. This contract role offers a 13-week assignment in Springfield, MO, providing flexibility and professional growth within an internationally recognized radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and invasive interventional radiology procedures, supporting the care team with scrub assistance and patient monitoring.
  • Operate special procedures imaging equipment consistently to produce high-quality examinations while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
  • Administer contrast materials safely, reviewing medication reconciliation for contraindications prior to administration.
  • Manage essential patient care equipment, including oxygen, suction, and blood pressure devices.
  • Observe and ensure patient stability before, during, and after procedures, utilizing appropriate immobilization and transfer techniques.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the facility.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as an IR Technologist.
  • Advanced registry credential required (CI, VI, RCIS) OR ARRT (R) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work day shifts, 5 days a week with a 36-hour weekly schedule.
  • Compliance with facility dress code (black scrubs) and professional appearance.
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Nov 1Apr 1).
