A highly skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist position is available at a prominent hospital in Shawnee, KS. This contract role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will utilize Siemens imaging systems to support a high volume of IR cases across multiple rooms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IR procedures, scrub experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a siloed team setting.
Location Details: The assignment is based at a major hospital campus near Shawnee, KS, known for excellent healthcare services and a patient-centered approach. The facility features advanced imaging technologies and a collaborative atmosphere supporting professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality interventional radiology imaging using Siemens Artis Icono, Artis Q, and Artis Zee systems (single-plane).
- Assist in procedures involving peripheral and neurovascular cases, including thyroid biopsies.
- Manage cases primarily neck-down while supporting outpatient services and hospital-wide IR lines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment handling 60-65 cases per day.
- Float to different IR units as needed to ensure continuous patient care.
- Adhere to facility policies including being nicotine-free and attending scheduled orientations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience, including scrub skills.
- Preferred 3+ years of IR experience in a large hospital environment.
- Experience with peripheral and neurovascular imaging highly desirable.
- ARRT Radiography certification and current Kansas State Board of Healing Arts licensure required prior to start.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during 10-hour day shifts.
- Must be able to attend bi-weekly nursing orientation.
Schedule & Contract Details:
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts
- Weekend and holiday work generally not required; on-call as needed
- Contract assignment with orientation provided (8 hours unpaid)
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $110/hour before administrative fees
- Bi-weekly pay schedule
